A collaboration between Adroit Theory and death metal band Cryptopsy yields a 12% IPA that defies conventions. Not a hazy juice bomb, but a bold statement on what a double-digit IPA can be.

Tasting Notes

At 12% ABV, you'd expect sweetness, but None Sober remains surprisingly dry and bitter. The intense hop bitterness is supported by a solid malt backbone without excessive caramel or alcohol heat. The finish is long and resinous, with a powerful bitterness that lingers. The mouthfeel is full and warming, yet never cloying.

Brewery

Adroit Theory from Purcellville, Virginia, crafts esoteric beers with an emphasis on barrel aging and experimental styles. The nano-brewery produces one keg at a time and typically has 24 different beers on tap.

Serving

Serve at 10-12°C in a tulip glass. Pairs well with spicy dishes or robust cheeses that can stand up to the intensity.
