An Amsterdam brewery with its own café
Brouwerij de Eeuwige Jeugd is based in Amsterdam. On their own website they call themselves "a little brewery in your life". The beers carry old nicknames like Gladjanus, Lellebel and Bokkelul.
In the beginning, the makers brewed at the brewing facilities of Brouwerij Troost. In 2019 they opened their own taproom, which is now called Café de Jeugd and is located on the Linnaeusstraat in Amsterdam-Oost. You can also rent separate rooms there, named after the beers, such as the Lellebel. The website also lists a room called Gluiperd.
Beer with nicknames in a range of styles
De Eeuwige Jeugd doesn't stick to one style. Lellebel (5.7%) and Gleuvenglijder (5.5%) are blond beers, Nitwit (6.0%) is a witbier and Gladjanus (5.2%) is a White IPA. Belhamel is a New England IPA of 6.5%, and Bullebak is a Weizen Tripel of 7.7%.
The website also lists Conjo, a Cerveza Limoncello of 5.7%, and Vrijer, a blond beer under 0.5%. Bullebak, Belhamel and Lellebel are among the brewery's beers we've had at Hoptimaal and that are rated highly on Untappd.
