A blending project in Vancouver
Temporal Artisan Ales calls itself a brewing & blending project in Vancouver, British Columbia. It is one third of the Threefold Brewery Collective, which is based at 1507 Powell St. in the same city.
The available sources say nothing about the founders or the year of founding, so we stick to what is established: the location and the way of working. That way of working is also what Temporal is all about.
Oak, barrels and blends
Every Temporal beer is fully fermented in oak, ages in barrels and gets the time it needs. Every bottle release is carefully blended from different barrels. The end result has many facets and depth as a result.
The fruit blends use locally grown whole fruit, processed with old-fashioned winemaking techniques. They are never pasteurised.
The VOID SERIES consists of strong ales on the best freshly emptied spirits barrels from around the world. This means bourbon, rye, cognac, scotch, brandy, port, amburana and more.
Temporal Artisan Ales at Hoptimaal
With us you'll find Temporal Artisan Ales in 33 cl. The range consists of barleywine, with a strength between 14.45 and 15.24%. On Untappd, Temporal Artisan Ales Two Threads and Temporal Artisan Ales Tourbé Novum are rated highest.
With strengths like these and this much barrel ageing, this is not a beer to drink ice cold. Take it out of the fridge a while before pouring and pour it into a small glass, so the oak, the alcoholic character and the blend open up slowly. A 33 cl bottle is also perfect for sharing.
