Walhalla is a microbrewery from Amsterdam
Walhalla is listed on Untappd as a microbrewery in Amsterdam, Noord-Holland. You can find the brewery on its own website, walhallacraftbeer.nl, and it is active on Instagram and Facebook under the name walhallacraftbeer.
The available sources offer no reliable information on the founding year, the founders or the brewing installation. We leave those out rather than guess.
A beer range with plenty of IPAs
The Walhalla range we know is mostly hoppy. Triton DDH IPA and Inti White IPA are examples, alongside beers such as Zeus, Elixer and Loki.
They also brew less obvious styles. Heimdall Imperial Rye Bock is a heavier bock made with rye, and a weizen and a pale ale have also passed through our range. That variety makes Walhalla more interesting than a brewery that only makes IPAs.
Walhalla at Hoptimaal
At Hoptimaal you'll find Walhalla mainly in IPAs, along with a bock, a pale ale and a weizen. Almost everything comes in 33 cl, one beer in 44 cl. The strength ranges from 5 to 8.5%. The range changes, so check the webshop to see what's in stock now.
Drink the IPAs as fresh as possible and well chilled, because that's when the hops and the bitter finish come through best. With the Heimdall Imperial Rye Bock it works the other way round: let it warm up a little and take your time, so the malty and spicy side gets more room.
