A microbrewery from Oud-Turnhout
Het Nest is in Oud-Turnhout, in the Flemish Region in Belgium. Untappd calls the brewery a microbrewery, and BeerAdvocate places Brouwerij Het Nest in the same location.
We found no reliable source for the year it was founded, the brewers behind Het Nest or the brewing installation. So we leave those out instead of guessing.
Blond, tripel and quadrupel
The range we know from Het Nest covers three classic Belgian styles: Gardiaan Blond, SchuppenBoer Tripel and KlevereTien, the quadrupel. The strength runs from 5.8 to 10 percent, so from an easy-drinking blond to a beer you take your time with.
All three are rated highly on Untappd. That says something about how beer drinkers receive them, but above all, taste them yourself.
Het Nest at Hoptimaal
At Hoptimaal we have had three beers from Het Nest: a quadrupel, a tripel and a blond. Nothing is in stock at the moment, so feel free to check back later or ask in the shop in Amersfoort about the latest batch.
Drink the blond and the tripel well chilled, at around 6–8 °C, so they stay fresh. Pour the KlevereTien more slowly and let it warm up a little, to around 10–12 °C. That brings out the heavier flavours better.
