From Adolphe De Brabandere to family brewery in Bavikhove
Founder Adolphe De Brabandere laid the foundations of his brewery in Bavikhove in the late nineteenth century. According to the brewery itself, that dream has grown into the successful business of today. It looks ahead with as much confidence as back, and is also described as a family brewery.
The brewery is at Rijksweg 33 in Bavikhove. You can only visit with the brewer at your side. He welcomes you in the impressive foeder hall, after which you walk past the brewhouse, the fermentation room and the bottling hall. A company film tells you about the history and the values, and you finish with a tasting.
A wide range under the motto Never compromise on taste
The brewery works under the motto Never compromise on taste. It describes its beers as heritage, made with traditional craftsmanship and authentic ingredients. According to the brewery, connoisseurs enjoy them far beyond the country's borders.
The range is wide. The Bavik line includes Bavik Super Pils, Bavik Super Wit and Bavik 0.0%, among others. The Petrus series comprises Petrus Tradition, Petrus Infinitum, Petrus Roodbruin, RED by Petrus and a nitro variant with cherry and chocolate. BeerAdvocate classes several Petrus beers as Flanders red ale and wild ale. Kwaremont comes as Pittig Blond and a 0.0% variant. The brewery also makes La Neuf, Wieze, Wittekerke Rosé, Ezel and Dangerousse. Under the name Eaumega it also sells water and fruity drinks.
