What is in a beer box?
Every box has a fixed set of beers. On the page of each box you see exactly which beers are inside, with style, alcohol and Untappd score.
Can I send a beer box as a gift?
Yes. At checkout, enter the address of the person you are giving it to as the delivery address.
When will my box be shipped?
Order before 3 pm on a weekday and we ship it the same day.
How long do the beers keep?
IPAs are best fresh: keep them cool and drink them as soon as you can. Strong beers, generally from 8% up, can often be kept longer.
Beer box, build your own or Beer Club?
- A beer box has fixed contents that we choose, built around a flavour direction, a style, a season or a single brewery. Think Discovery Boxes per flavour direction, a tasting for two with a tasting card, or a brewery of the month. Handy if you want a gift where the choice has already been made.
- Build your own: you pick 6, 12 or 24 beers from the whole range. Handy if you know exactly what you or the recipient like to drink.
- Beer Club: a beer subscription. Every month we deliver a box that we fill: 8 beers for €39.95 a month plus €5 shipping in the Netherlands, or Premium with about 12 beers.
A craft beer box as a gift
A beer box is an easy beer gift: you choose the theme, we choose the beers, and if you like we deliver it straight to the recipient. Want to surprise someone for longer? Give the Beer Club as a gift for 3, 6 or 12 months (Netherlands only). You'll find more ideas in our gift guide. Our beers are only for people aged 18 or over; that also applies to whoever receives the box.
How to pour the beers from a box
Not every beer should be equally cold. The American Homebrewers Association gives these rules of thumb: lagers colder than ales, strong beer warmer than light beer, and dark beer warmer than pale beer. A good starting point is 7–10 °C for pale ale and IPA and 10–13 °C for stout and barleywine. Pour a few degrees colder than your target, because beer warms up in the glass. Beer with yeast sediment, such as a tripel, you pour slowly. And drink from a glass: much of what you taste is smell, and from the bottle or can you smell less of it. Is a beer box gift-wrapped?
No. We deliberately don't use a gift box, because it breaks in transit.
What if I don't know which beer someone likes?
Choose a Discovery Box in one flavour direction, or give a gift voucher so the recipient chooses for themselves. If you're unsure about the direction, take the Taste Finder with the recipient in mind: six questions, no beer jargon.
What is the difference between a beer box and the Beer Club?
You buy a beer box once and you can see in advance which beers are in it. The Beer Club is a subscription: a new box every month that we put together, or, as a gift, for a fixed period of 3, 6 or 12 months.
