Rebrew comes from Brovary near Kyiv
Rebrew is small-scale and based in Brovary, on the edge of Kyiv. On Untappd, the brewery is listed as a microbrewery in Kyiv oblast. According to Brew York, Rebrew was founded in 2019.
In May 2025, Brew York head brewer Davide travelled through Ukraine to work with Ukrainian brewers. He calls Rebrew and Varvar friends who showed him around the local brewing scene. It didn't stop there: he brewed a collaboration beer with Rebrew.
Rebrew's beer: NEIPA and a tomato gose
Brew York describes Rebrew as a team that does modern styles like NEIPA well. They also make their own take on a Ukrainian beer type: the tomato gose, a salty gose with tomato pulp.
The joint brew session produced a brown beer in a northern style, with cacao nibs and vanilla. Brew York describes it as a biscuity base with dark chocolate and a slightly sweet finish.
It's not all hops. In the Hoptimaal range you will also see Rebrew Cat Sìth, an Imperial Scotch Ale on bourbon oak chips, which is highly rated on Untappd. That shows the brewery also works outside the hazy IPAs.
Rebrew at Hoptimaal
At Hoptimaal we have had eight beers from Rebrew. Seven of them are IPAs, including NEIPAs and New Zealand IPAs such as Capybara Chill, Niben, Tasman Twist, HAZY CAT and Poganka Knife with mango. The strength runs from 6.2 to 10 percent and most of the beers came in 33 cl, one in 50 cl. Stock varies and right now nothing is in stock.
Drink the hoppy beers as fresh as possible and well chilled, around fridge temperature. That keeps the hop aromas sharp. A heavier one like Cat Sìth you pour more slowly: let it warm up a little and give it time in the glass.
