Overview

From the darker side of Leeds comes this 14.6% brandy barrel aged imperial stout — a beer that spent months maturing in cognac casks. The result: a thick, warming stout with layered complexity and a character befitting the mythical Jersey Devil.

Tasting Notes

In the glass, expect a dense, almost oily black stout with plums, figs and dark chocolate leading the charge. The brandy barrel aging brings dried fruit, oak and subtle vanilla accents. Mouthfeel is full-bodied and warming, the alcohol clearly present but not overwhelming. The finish lingers long with hints of raisins, coffee and a delicate cognac glow.

Serving
