From ETKO Brewing to Factory Brewing
Factory Brewing Oy is a Finnish craft brewery from Kerava, in the Uusimaa region. The company started in 2017 in Helsinki as ETKO Brewing. According to its own company profile, ETKO built a nationwide reputation with strong IPAs and creative sour beers.
In 2023 the brewery launched Factory Brewing as a premium brand, aimed at lovers of high-quality beer and at international markets. In 2024 came an investment in a new brewery in Klondyke House in Kerava, which made production capacity a multiple of what it had been. In April 2026 the shareholders approved a name change: ETKO Brewing Oy is now called Factory Brewing Oy.
Klondyke House is a historic former rubber factory of red brick, which was given a new purpose as a business and events centre after a major renovation. According to Craft Beer Nomads, there are two microbreweries in the complex, including that of ETKO, the company behind the Factory Brewing brand. According to LinkedIn, five people work there.
A brewery that aims at IPA
Factory Brewing focuses on IPAs. The company says itself that it ranks in the top 3 of IPA-focused microbreweries in Europe on Untappd. According to the company, the beers are exported to more than 18 countries in Europe and Asia and appear at more than 15 international beer festivals every year.
The brewery works with two brands under one roof: Factory Brewing and ETKO. What you see in our range fits that focus: almost everything is IPA, plus a single stout.
Factory Brewing at Hoptimaal
From Factory Brewing we've mostly had IPAs, plus one stout. Most of the beers come in 44 cl, one in 37.5 cl. The strength ranges from 7.3 to 12 percent, so these are not light beers. Highly rated on Untappd are, among others, Factory Anniversary Blend 2026, Factory Tipping Point, Factory The Executioner 2026, Factory Static Motion, Factory Permanent Fortune and Factory Moving Waves.
Drink the IPAs as fresh as possible and cool, around 6–8 °C, so the hops stay sharp. The stout and the strongest beers can take it slower: a little less cold and in small sips.
